Supervision

For me, good supervision means ensuring that you as a supervisee feel valued and respected, safe to express any doubts and needs. I aim to promote insight into stuck points, help develop therapeutic skills and prevent burn out. My supervision also aims to ensure safe ensure safe practice is carried out by adherence to relevant governing bodies ethical guidelines.

Through my role as Principal Supervising Clinician within the NHS, and as a Supervisor in Private Practice, I have gained several years experience offering supervision to various clinical roles, including Senior, Qualified and Trainee Psychologists, CBT therapists, Counsellors.

My primary modality it CBT, including traditional (Beckian) CBT, as well as ‘third wave’ approaches such as Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCP).
